After a strong recommendation from a fellow forumer, I couldn't resist the temptation to visit Hideki, a Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant. What's more... I manage to catch a friend who, in recognition of my help, to give us a treat to lunch there.
Hideki (bangalow) located in Bangsar, is just a walking distance from Bangsar Village 2, opposite of TMC Mini Market. The row of bangalow styled restaurants easily caught our attentions, but we drove around the area a few times and still managed to miss Hideki!! Why? Because the banner 'Hideki' is so small and we can only see the light orange-colored alphabet H,D,K in yellow background. Therefore, look for 'HDK' instead of fullname 'Hideki'. One more clue; Hideki is located just beside an Italian restaurant.
I was very much attracted to the landscape of the bungalow restaurant with a really small stream and a red tiny bridge for you to cross over.
Besides the missing Tatami, Hideki is furnished in a japanese style interior design. I simply love the food counter, that adds to the ambience especially with their romantic yellow lightings. The only shortcoming is Hideki is rather small compared to its exterior, hence the tables are placed rather close to each other
OK, Ok... we'll talk about the food..
Initially, I though it will be a buffet just like Shogun, where you'll see a lot of people walking around, poking and taking the food. However, it was not the case. we were ushered to our seats and we can order whatever that's in the menu.
Some of the menu:
Baby Octopus
Fried small shrimps
Kurage (cuttlefish)
California roll
Hand roll
Teriyaki Chicken/Salmon/Beef
Set of Sashimi - Salmon, Cod, Cuttlefish, Clam
Grill small pregnant fish
Tempura
Green Tea ice cream
All kinds of noodle - ramen, soba
Er... don't remember anymore, cause too busy eating as we were late and time was limited!!
It's just extremely too bad that they don't serve any sushi. Ouch!
Final verdict, with its lunch priced at RM45++, it can still be considered quite worthy and I'll definitely eat there in future!
